The Global Passion Leadership Excursion is a trip designed specifically for youth pastors and leaders. Each year Global Passion partners with dynamic missionaries to provide a special leadership excursion for leaders like you. This is an incredible opportunity to serve alongside other leaders and experience a Global Passion trip first hand. Each leadership excursion is focused on developing ministry leaders abroad through practical training and a hands on ministry experience. You will have the opportunity to train local leaders in their area of ministry and serve alongside our missionary partner in the work they do. DESTINATION
Ecuador is a puzzle of jungles, coastal plains and central highlands on the northwest tip of South America. The Equator's invisible line runs through the center of the country. It is also home to the Andes mountain range and a portion of the Amazon rainforest. In addition to its natural wonders, its cities stand relics of a carefully preserved history. Amid the dramatic structures of its past, however, are pockets of poverty with seemingly bleak futures. About 95 percent of its population identifies itself as Catholic, but the lines of spirituality dividing Catholicism and the people's indigenous practices are often blurry. We have an opportunity to help put God's truth in focus for a group of people here in great need, both spiritually and physically.

MINISTRY
We will be partnering with Henry and Ivonne Smith. The Smiths oversee a children's ministry of 300 and an adult congregation of 100. During this mission trip the focus will be on exposure to the different ministries in which the Smiths are involved in.
Ministry will include door to door visits where team members will pray and build relationship with people of the community, church ministry, school assemblies, and youth leadership training conference to help equip leaders in ministry. Each activity will show case the Smith’s heart to share God’s love with Guayaquil.
Not only will we witness the ministry, but the team will get first hand experience of Speed The Light in action. All transportation in country will be done by a Speed the Light vehicle. This is a great opportunity to see the importance of what Speed the Light does.
